Monthly Events Calendar

De-ICE Citizens Bank standout

June 6 10-12pm 159 Great Rd. Stow

In place of our usual monthly standout we will join a National Day of action to De-ICE Citizens Bank.  We will stand along the sidewalk on rt 117 (on the westbound side) in front of the Citizens Bank.  Citizens Bank continues to provdeo financing to the two largest Private Prison Companies that build and operate ICE detention facilities: GeoGroup and Core Civic.  These companies have a record of conditions involving rotten food, no access to basic hygiene, lack of medical care and more. We want to put pressure on Citizens Bank to break ties with these Companies and to educate to the community about the bank's coze relationship.

Bring signs and bring friends!  Ideally Signs should be specific to Citizens bank's relationship to funding ICE detention centers. Examples include: De-ICE Citizens Bank; Cages Aren't Communities; Citizens Bank - Stop Financing ICE Prisons; Citizens Bank + ICE = Human Rights Abuse; ICE Prisons Don't Strengthen Our Communities; Citizens Bank - Cut Ties With ICE Prisons.

Monthly Huddle and Training

June 11 6:30-8:30pm
Maynard Firehouse

Join us for our monthly meeting to learn and take action.   We alternate between trainings and more traditional huddles but try to provide some kind of action at each meeting.  past actions have included using QR codes to sign a petition or send an email to your repreasentative, writing postcards, and assembling whistle kits and zines.

We regularly collect unopened, packaged food items for Open Table at our meetings.

Postcard Writing

A group sits at a table writing postcards

Tuesdays 9-11am Boston Bean
102 Main St. Maynard

Send hand-written postcards to voters in states that will play a key role in taking back Congress and in electing leaders who will fight back against the current authoritarian regime. Postcards educate voters, urge them to register to vote, and urge them to vote for specific candidates in special elections, primaries, and the November 2026 mid-term elections. Hand-written postcards have been proven in multiple studies to boost turnout enough to swing elections. Each packet of 15 postcards has everything you need, and costs $10 to cover stamps and cards for those who can afford it.

It’s more fun to write together, but if you can’t stay, you can also stop by and pick up postcards to write at home.

De-ICE Hanscom

Hanscom Rotary, Lincoln

Join us every Friday at the Hanscom traffic circle in Lincoln MA from 1:30-2:30pm to bring attention to the deportation flights leaving from the airforce base and the wrongful coordination with Massport.
