Calendar of our Events

Ongoing Events:

Monthly Huddle and Training

Sept 10, 6:30-8:00 pm
Maynard Firehouse

We meet the 2nd Thursday each month at the Maynard Firehouse to get informed and to take action. We alternate between trainings, speakers, and more traditional huddles. Past actions at our meetings have included prepping for No Kings and other standouts, folding zines about reporting ICE, putting together whistle kits, signing petitions, and postcard writing.

At our Sept. 10 monthly meeting we will be joined by Jonathan Cohn, the policy director of Progressive Mass. Jonathan will share insights about the upcoming midterm election and the ballot questions. We are fortunate to have Jonathan speak with us and we can use his knowledge to educate others. Please come and bring a friend.

We collect canned and dry packaged food for Open Table at our meetings. Please bring something to donate if you are able

Postcard Writing

several people writing postcards

Tuesdays, 9-11 am, Boston Bean
102 Main St. Maynard

Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm, Stow

Send hand-written postcards to voters in states that will play a key role in taking back Congress and in electing leaders who will fight back against the current authoritarian regime. Postcards educate voters, urge them to register to vote, and urge them to vote for specific candidates in special elections, primaries, and the November 2026 mid-term elections. Hand-written postcards have been proven in multiple studies to boost turnout enough to swing elections. Each packet of 15 postcards has everything you need, and costs $10 to cover stamps and cards for those who can afford it.

It’s more fun to write together, but if you can’t stay, you can also stop by and pick up postcards to write at your own pace.

Monthly Standout Against Authoritarianism

We meet the 3rd Saturday, 1-2 pm
Corner of Haynes St and Concord St

We meet the 3rd Saturday of every month from 1-2 pm to stand up against authoritarianism. Signs welcome, but we usually do have some extra to offer. Let's stand together as a community to fight for our democracy and our rights. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Parking is available on side streets and in the lot along the bicycle path behind The Maynard Outdoor Store

Sign Brigade

nationalnparks

Last Thursday, 5-6 pm
Meet by 159 Great Rd. Stow
We meet at the parking lot for Shaws Plaza in Stow and stretch out along rt 117 W between Red Acre Rd and the entrance to Shaws Plaza.

If you haven’t seen a Sign Brigade before, we each hold a sign according to a theme that tells a story (ie- signs of good government). In order to allow cars to read each sign, we each stand 100 ft apart.

Feel free to join us or drive by and honk in solidarity.

We need a minimum of 6 sign ups for this to be effective, so RSVP is required.

Join us every Friday at the Hanscom Traffic Circle in Lincoln, MA from
1-2:30 pm to bring attention to the deportation flights leaving from the air force base and the wrongful coordination with Massport.
