Our group includes folks from Maynard, Stow, Sudbury and more. We meet regularly to stand up for democracy, build community, and support our neighbors. No Kings: Vote Early!
We will be kicking off Early Voting in Maynard. Indivisible Maynard Area and the League of Women Voters Acton Area are teaming up to bring a joyful community event. Come join us for a celebration of our democracy. This is a nonpartisan, family-friendly event. We will have music, speakers, face painting, and activities. We will educate folks on their voting rights, the ballot, and collectively take part in some quick, meaningful actions to make this year’s midterm elections turnout the biggest ever. We will also add to our town’s Maynard ROCKS! collection with messages about voting and using your voice (bring rocks to paint).
Since this is a nonpartisan event, please do not bring any signs that would promote any particular party or candidate. Flags are welcome!

Monthly Huddle and Training
Oct 8, 6:30-8:00 pm
Maynard Firehouse
We meet the 2nd Thursday each month at the Maynard Firehouse to get informed and to take action. We alternate between trainings, speakers, and more traditional huddles. Past actions at our meetings have included prepping for No Kings and other standouts, folding zines about reporting ICE, putting together whistle kits, signing petitions, and postcard writing.
For our October meeting we are focused on the midterms. Christine Brown of Indivisible Acton Area and TurnPurple2Blue.org will give a talk called “What will it take to WIN the midterms -and how can YOU make a difference?” She will walk us through some key races and final actions we can take to bring in a blue wave. We will also share some important information around election protection and will do some prep for our Oct 17 No Kings: Vote Early event at Haynes Court.
We collect canned and dry packaged food for Open Table at our meetings. Please bring something to donate if you are able
Postcard Writing
Tuesdays, 9-11 am, Boston Bean

Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm, Stow
Send hand-written postcards to voters in states that will play a key role in taking back Congress and in electing leaders who will fight back against the current authoritarian regime. Postcards educate voters, urge them to register to vote, and urge them to vote for specific candidates in special elections, primaries, and the November 2026 mid-term elections. Hand-written postcards have been proven in multiple studies to boost turnout enough to swing elections. Each packet of 15 postcards has everything you need, and costs $10 to cover stamps and cards for those who can afford it.
It’s more fun to write together, but if you can’t stay, you can also stop by and pick up postcards to write at your own pace.

1-2:30 pm to bring attention to the deportation flights leaving from the air force base and the wrongful coordination with Massport.
